Walk in the Light

One of the things many people love about Florida is the great amount of light we receive in this part of the world.  The Sunshine state averages 268 sunny to partly cloudy days per year.  We’ll take that, especially during the winter months!

The theme of light is prevalent in the Bible.  John reminds us “If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin” (1 John.1:7).  As we spend time with our Lord and one another in the Bible, prayer, worship and fellowship, the Lord’s light and shed blood cleanses us from all sin.  The Greek communicates the idea of a continual cleansing, so rest assured over time that our Lord can bring light and purification to your darkest and most hardened places.

Pray for me, as I pray for you, that we will continue to walk in the light with our Lord and one another, being honest about the specific darkness in us that needs cleansed.
