ST JOHN’S TO CELEBRATE JUBILEE YEAR!
The year 2020 marks the semi-centennial anniversary of the founding of Naples’ St Johns Episcopal Church. Many feel when we reach 50 years old, we are at the peak of our powers and skills. St Johns shows that it has reached a peak in worship and service to its community with a great deal more to come!
This Jubilee Year remembering “The Golden Years” just past has been in planning for several months with major events planned quarterly and other observances scattered throughout 2020. Details will appear in ParishLife so you can plan your participation and not miss a one.
What is the focus event will occur Sunday, March 22 and you need to plan for it right away. It will be a fine catered Golden Anniversary Celebratory Luncheon following a Special 10AM Thanksgiving Worship Service and Remembrance presided over by Bishop Dabney Smith. Attending will be representatives of individuals, groups and organizations who assisted and participated in the founding of St Johns.
This free event in Sugden Hall following the service will be such an attraction for parishioners, seasonal “regulars” and visitors that reservations are being accepted starting now!
