Rise and Rebuild(D51)

“So I prayed to the God of heaven and answered the king, ‘If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor with you, send me to Judah and to the city where my ancestors are buried, so that I may rebuild it” (Nehemiah 2:4-5)

“When our enemies heard that their scheme was known to us and that God had frustrated their plan, we all returned to the wall, each to his work. From that day on, half of my servants worked on construction, and half held the spears, shields, bows, and coats of mail. And the leaders stood behind the whole house of Judah, who were rebuilding the wall” (Nehemiah 4:15-16)

Given all that is occurring, I will periodically send out additional devotionals. This one focuses on God’s call to Nehemiah to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and establish the city once more to the Glory of God. Even as the King enables Nehemiah’s call, the work is arduous and enemies abound. It is a story of God’s faithful people rebuilding a nation as they repent of their sins, face their enemies and celebrate a new Israel. It is God’s call to his people in this historic moment! Be blessed by Christy Johnston’s timely prophecy!
