Focus (D33)

“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light” (Matthew 6:22)

“I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11)

What we focus on grows. In times of trial, it’s easy to focus on the struggle, problems, challenges and failures. I’ve noticed in people’s lives a cascading pattern, where life can go from bad to worse quickly. One can prevail over this by God’s grace and divine focus. Turn your eyes to light sources, like Scripture, prayer, music, nature and uplifting people. Faithfully doing these things firmly places your life into God’s plan, light, hope, prospering and seeing your blessings!
