My Redeemer Lives (D22)

“For I know that my Redeemer lives and at last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold and not another.” (Job 19:25-27)

This is Job’s faithful affirmation in the midst of his suffering. As much as Job is experiencing death in his life, he proclaims his God is alive and he will see him one day. This gave Job great comfort and faith to endure the agony in his life. Our faith in the midst of trials opens us to the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome!
