God’s Promises

God’s Promises

Rev. Joseph Maiocco Rector

The resurrection of Jesus is a God Promise, something so grand and miraculous only God can fulfill. Old Testament prophets and Jesus foretold it. The Bible is full of promises God has made to his people and there is a book we give to St. John’s visitors on weekends entitled “199 Promises of God.”

committed sins, they shall be forgiven”

shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Ps.27:1)

that abides in me, and I in him, the same
brings forth much fruit; for without me you
can do nothing” (Jn.15:15)

(Rm.8:38-39)
• “Those that trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint” (ls.40:31}

thanksgiving, let your requests be made
